Who Says Retired Colors Need to Fly Away?

I made this card as a bonus give away with my last class. If participants made two sets, they'd get to make this card for free! What a deal... that no one took me up on! I should have had the materials ready so they could have made one at cost. Oh well... live and learn.

This is made with retired purples, Almost Amethyst and Lovely Lavender (I think). It's your basic square card, but I wanted to use the tulip embossing envelope in the square (something I learned from Dawn O.'s blog). It's super easy! I used my little embossing and cutting butterfly thing-y (not the official name) from SU. The ribbon, what I used to pick my paper color) is one I've had for a bit. It's from the dollar bin at my local craft store. So pretty. The butterflies are in the same colors as the base papers and are, of course, popped up using stamping dimensionals.

Thanks for looking!
